'Great Grandfather Martin'- b 1776: name unknown, place of residence unknown
John Adams Martin- b1800/d Alabama: had seven children with Sarah Pursser.
Henry Hillard Martin- b 9/17/1841 Pike Co Alabama, d 3/31/1904, Texas: also had seven children. moved to Texas 1875.
Henry Lee Martin - b 3/29/1876, Texas, d 2/16/1943: had eight children in Texas. Much of the documents on this site come from Henry Lee. He is my great grandfather. The tree from there is detailed in Deneice's online tree linked to at the top of this page.
Bryant
Alexander Clinton Bryant- b 12/25/1809 (1812?) North Carolina, d 1/20/1886
(1888?)Texas: raised a family in Sumter Co, Alabama until they moved with
Henry Hillard Martin to Texas.
Elizabeth Louise Bryant Martin- b 12/4/1842 Alabama, d 1/26/1917 Texas: married Henry Hillard Martin and had seven children.
Dilworth
John Dilworth- b England: had a son Peter.
Peter Dilworth- b 6/7/1826 Tyrone, Ireland, d 3/7/1895 Maryland: he had three sons with his first wife and four children with second wife.
R. R. (Dick) Dilworth- b 7/17/1853, Virginia, d 6/8/1924, Texas: he had two daughters, one of whom was Annie, future bride of Henry Lee.
Annie Lee Dilworth Martin- b 8/1/1885 Texas, d 5/8/1932, Texas: mother of Henry Lee.
Carter
Thomas Carter- b 8/17/1778, Georgia, d 6/9/1842, Texas: lived in Georgia,
Florida, and Texas; possibly fought for Texas Independence!
Henry W. Carter- b 1820, Georgia, d 1865-1870, Texas: had two daughters.
Eunice Elizabeth Carter Dilworth- b 1863 Texas, d 1/1947 (or March), Texas: married Dick Dilworth and had a daughter Annie Lee Dilworth (Martin)
